I went to the Red Deer Westerner Days parade and fair.Overall it was ok...here's how the day went..

I went to the parade in the morning and it wasn't too bad.I then went to the Westerner fair grounds at the Centrium (Red Deer's stadium).Many of the rides were fun.I got screwed over on a few games and when I went to get more money from one of the ATMs (owned by the midway company), it gave me my money but when I asked for a reciept it didnt give it.I paid 3 dollars just for the withdrawal and the stupid machine didnt give me a reciept.I complained about it but the person just shrugged it off.

I went to the beer gardens, and there, I met DROC, one of the dejays for Zed 99, which is my favourite radio station in Red Deer.I told him about my AS and he was cool with it.He knows a few aspies.

After that, I went back to the rides and had more fun.I bought an inflatable alien balloon which looks alot like the Wrong Planet mascot.I went on a ride, and the carnie held onto it.I came out, the carnie handed it to me, and I guess he must have poked a hole in it or something.

I defated it and stuck it in my bag after that.I went on more rides.Somebody puked on the twin flip and puke flew everywhere.They didnt clean it off the floor so the ride smelled like puke, which was kinda nasty.

OVerall, my experience at westerner days wasnt too bad, despite the carnie who poked a hole in my alien, and the malfunctioning atm.Some of the sounds were a bit overwhelming though, such as when they have the speakers too loud on some rides, and the worst is when going on a thrill ride and a bunch of chicks shrieking and screaming really loud at the top of their lungs, some of them, right next to me.

So carnies ripped you off? That is what they do. That is the game. They try to rip you off and you try to avoid it.

I won 2 small stuffed toys from the games so it wasnt too bad, but I felt pretty miffed about the ATM and the part where the carnie put a hole in my inflatable alien.

I wish I had someone to go with me.Although for a while I did have someone to talk to....DROC from Zed fm (red deers rock radio station)
