Three years ago, while my wife was still alive, we noticed the living room carpet was full of water. The house on a slab and two slab leaks already in 7 years, naturally we assumed another right over the water line under the slab. So we cut up the carpet, new carpet, and discovered the water was actually coming from a busted water line in the ice maker in the frig..

End of the line for me, probably spent 20k Over the years repairing damages caused by broken ice makers in a variety of homes, slabs, wood, 2-story, U name it. But then she died and we also had water damage to the master bedroom and she wanted a walk in shower so I tore down walls and then discovered the finances weren't there, her med bills were so high and she managed the bills........long story, being told I was an Asperger and a lot of stuff that happened had no chance anyway because of prejudices by the muggles, took this long to get the shower, get the finances straightened out, a new bedroom, finally have a portable icemaker setting on the kitchen counter, this very minute cranking out ice, not much at a time but a potential 35 lbs/day (2.5 stone?). beautiful!

Still have living room to do, tile this time, entire home in tile, just the living room and a guest bedroom to go!
