I would:

Give $15 million to my sister
Give $15 million to my mom
Donate $30 million to Portland Community College
Donate $5 million to my high school
Buy a $3 million house
Donate $25 million to worthy charities
Give $1 million to my uncle
Give $1 million to my grandma

The rest I'd ditch in a Swiss bank account

I would invest $175 million immediately.

Go on an extended European vacation until I felt like coming home.

Then proceed with life as usual except with $24 million and change in the bank?

Really I have no clue what I'd do with that kind of money at my disposal. I guess when you got $200 mil pretty much everything can be a "game time decision"...

My life probably wouldn't be any different than it is now. I'd give $15 million to my grandmother, and then give $1 million to a good friend of mine, and probably buy a house for myself. I'd also keep the fact that I'm a millionaire to myself, since I'd dress the same that I do now, and do the same things that I always do. The big difference being that I don't have to work another day in my life and I'd be able to buy DVDs and videogames more freely than I do now.

Have a heart attack.

Then I'd pay $1m cash for the best possible medical care.

Then I'd get the best long term care for my parents, pay off their house, car, etc. Buy the land around their home so that no more of it gets sold off to rich jerks who post "no trespassing" signs everywhere and treat their neighbors with contempt.

Buy a newspaper, and try to run it 'straight' -- no corporate influence. Would have to run it at a loss. Maybe fund a left-wing think tank. Invest heavily in Comedy Central.

Do research on high-end investing so I don't get cheated. Diversify massively, since it's new to me and I don't know the 'gotchas.' Dedicate a portion of the interest to charities like Oxfam and AI. Live on the remainder.

Fund a think tank/research center for ASD researchers about autism. Try to figure out how to financially help autistic autism advocacy. Create some scholarships for autistic people. Maybe look into a media or PR company to figure out how to counter negative, harmful, or inaccurate images of autism in the media. Try to figure out how to help ASD adults who are in trouble.

Buy WP a server farm and 10 times it's current bandwidth so those "overloaded" messages never happen again. Maybe pay the mods a little for their work.

I would buy a island and fortify it. Solar, wind power, electric military vehicles, unmanned 50 cals, 105Mm's, sea mines around whole permiter. I would have gardens, chickens, cows. Then only invite ppl of my choice. Basicly I would have a compound and save forgotten children from Dcf and other alike groups that don't give a dam.

This is substantially lower than the £100,000,000.

I would still buy a luxury SUV and the PPG Building in Pittsburgh, if $200,000,000 will cover them.

I'm not sure what I would do. I could have practically everything.

My first thought is to limit myself to a certain amount of money a week. That way I don't buy a bunch of cool stuff at once. That way there will still be excitement in it for awhile.

My second thought is to buy a building and order truckloads of books a DVD's and labels and a computer all the things I would need to have my own library. But instead of reading the books I would just label and organize and put away books all day.

Considering that I don't actually need that much money I would either donate $190 million to the SPCA or better yet, start my own animal rescue center...it's not like I couldn't afford to pay the workers. I would give my mum 1 million, my step dad 1 million, my grandma 1 million and my uncles family 1 million (not each) for a new house that they currently want. I would use 2 million to buy myself a house and lots of land for my pets and put the rest in the bank to live off the interest.

Edit: I would also go to space on the Virgin Galactic ship.

I would have built and payed for the next 50 years (taxes and all) a highly fortified granite home with multiple subflore basement, a stockpile of everything I would need to last me at least 10 years. That should be easy with 200 mil. I would blow a lot of it on world travel. I would invest some of it. I would start a few small buisnesses to keep people I like enployed. then I would sit on the rest and just feel rich and stuff till I died or apocolipse came.

spend 200,000 dollars per year AVERAGE for my expenses including a nice big house, caretakers who are fat and wear PVC neoprene and other good stimming materials.

oh and did i mention a whole freaking WAREHOUSE of stimmable stuff for me...

yeah thats the life

oh and an OC128 backbone connection... for those moments when I feel the internet is TOO DAMN SLOW.

When in doubt, ask an autistic. Chances are, they're obsessed with what you need to know.

1. Pay off all my bills.
2. Divide the remaining money equally between me, my mom, and my friend
3. My portion would be divided into the following categories: education, travel, savings/retirement, living expenses, and charities.
4. Within each category funds would be invested in a variety of interest/dividend-generating accounts
5. The interest generated would be deposited automatically in checking accounts for each of the categories in number 3. This interest would be used to fund the activities described by the category, thus preserving the original amount invested (hopefully...*fingers crossed*).

Yeah, I've given this some thought. :D

I'll visit Henriksson in the woods, the man of the Red Castle.
And then, think about it all.

That would be the first step.

Afterwards, I don't know yet.

I would buy a lot of land in some remote and safe place.

Then I would become a cult leader.
I would offer free housing to people who would become my followers.

But they must do as I say, work for me and allow me to have sex with their wives and their young daughters.

What the heck? If you are going to imagine things then you might as well go the whole hog! :D
