I'm very very excited. I'm also a little worried. But mostly very excited. i think this will be very good for me.

Has anyone else done horse riding?

I love horses but I'm very impressed, a bit afraid of them, so no, I've never done horse riding.
Except once, when I was a very little girl. It was a drafthorse and my dad and the farmer were holding the two of us :)

I've only ridden a horse twice in my life. More correctly a pony but that was when I was a little boy.

I did Riding for the Disabled when I was younger (I'm not sure what the "disabled" part was about, since I am not and was not diagnosed with AS, and the things I've had therapy (physiotherapy, occupational therapy and speech therapy for high muscle tone, motor skills problems and articulation problems) weren't severe enough to be disabling). I enjoyed it.

I'm a pony club veteran. :)

Yep, big Daniel went to pony club (21 or so), and there was once an exchange, that will go down in history as...something so, so sad or too funny to comprehend:

"'Which child is yours?'" Sayeth a lady to my mother

"'Uh, that man over there.'" Retorteth my mother

It's fun, and I prefer trail rides compared to the usual going in circles of the arena.

I own a horse, and I just love him/riding. My psychologist says it's therapeutic for me. I've done one session of hippotherapy (horse riding with an OT) and it was fun. I love it because for me, it's impossible to think about anything else when I'm with the horse (you have to be focused to keep safe) so it's stress relieving. And I like the rocking motion when I ride. My ADHD (and possibly ODD) little brother has started riding as well, and he's enjoying it very much.
