Here is my question to you, what are you more proud and loyal to and why? ethic group, nationalty or religion

I'm personally proud to be irish i've always been fascinated with our history and how the majority of us are proud to be irish. yet I care little for religion and what my northern irish passport says.

I chose nationality. I am proud to be an American.

I don't know what my nationality is, I'm white and I think I have some german ancestry. No religion for me, and as for nationality, I'm not proud for being born in a country.

My lack of religious beliefs.

Nationality? I was born here, I know my dad thinks on should be "proud" of being Swedish, but I just don't see why.

Ethnicity? I couldn't care less.

I must say I'm proud to be free of any religion.

Sometimes I am proud to be an American... until I turn on the TV and see all the commercials for pointless crap, celebrity worship, and general stupidity. Still, I can't picture myself living anywhere else.

I am proud of my race and heritage. Anybody who says that makes me a white supremacist is no better than one. There's a big difference between being proud of one's race and being a racist.

I'm Irish, and used to be proud of that fact. However, since my being Irish was an accident of parentage rather than a decision or moral choice I made, it seems illogical for me to be "proud" of my ethnicity.

Don't get me wrong, I'm still Irish, still saturated with the culture, in love with the literature, music, language, countryside, history, etc etc... But I'm not proud to be Irish. It would be like being proud to be left handed. I didn't choose which hand to favor... why be proud of something that just is? I'm also tall, big busted, and have curly hair. Why be proud of that? Just accept yourself, and enjoy what you have.

I'm not proud of any of the things on that list. Although I choose my religion, I realise many so called religious people have done dreadful things, and nationality or ethnic origin doesn't matter.

We need more choices on the poll.

I'm proud of my indifference towards all three.

I don't actually feel pride, so I'll just go with the "loyal to" thingy:

It's to the people I love, who are individuals.

I don't do the whole collective identity thing, and I don't understand being proud to be part of a particular nation, ethnicity or whatever. How does it make sense to be proud of something that you didn't have any part in choosing?
