The jell-o brain mold recipe doesn't sound appetizing at all. Something about having to add milk to it. Blech!

I was hoping someone here might have an alternative to the condensed skim milk in favor of something actually tasty and that would keep a little better than a milk product. Are there firm custard or pudding concoctions that would hold its shape out of the brain mold?

You could try coconut milk. It is usually richer than regular milk - but has a nice taste. You can find it in larger supermarkets in the ethnic section or Asian grocery stores.
