Pizza Hut or Domino's

Both make lousy pizza and they are best avoided.


My dear husband makes the best pizza. He makes his own dough and uses olive oil.

He puts the cheese on first (thinly sliced mozza), then puts on the tomato sauce (which he reduces so that it is more thick) and then the cooked sausage, olives, sauteed bell peppers, fresh basil and roasted garlic. He then bakes it till it is just starting to get golden.

Yummmmmmm.

If I can't have my dear husband's pizza - I go to a little Italian restaurant where they make fire oven pizza with a thin crust and top notch ingredients. If I can't get to this little Italian Restaurant - I go to a high end pub where they make thin crust pizza.

Pizza is a wonderful thing and I think that Dominoe's Pizza Hut and Panago destroy an otherwise wonderful food.

Both are garbage, try a pizza from one of your local pizza places

Agree, both are garbage pizza.

However, a personal experience has turned me off from Domino's Pizza. I ordered online, my order was accepted, I received a confirmation email. An hour later, no pizza. I called, they said they were closed and hung up on me. I called again, they explained they got my order from their online printer after they had turned off the oven. I pointed out there was a procedural problem there with order of operations, and they were in effect in breach of contract because of it. They hung up on me. I wrote Domino's Corporate, they never responded.

That's 3 strikes in short order for Domino's. I don't care if it is garbage pizza, they offer a convenience service and sometimes the convenience is more important than the quality. I am the customer and acted in good faith, they did not. Hence, they will not receive my business on principle.

As for other replies, homemade is the way to go. For convenient homemade snackage and hors'd'orves or light meal:

Large Tortilla
about 1/4 cup roasted Garlic and Onion Progresso Spaghetti sauce
about 3/4 cup shredded cheese, a fiesta blend works well
about 4 cloves chopped garlic
about 3/4 cup drained sauerkraut
about 6 slices half cooked chopped bacon

spread sauce on tortilla
spread cheese on sauce
sprinkle on garlic
spread kraut on cheese
sprinkle on bacon

put in 425 degree oven until middle bubbly and edges curled up and browned

slice hot into wedges

allow to cool slightly, then munch.

It's been 22 years since I last found a pizza place that did sauerkraut. I still keep hoping to find another.

I'm with the general consensus here - it's garbage either way. I think Domino's would be the lesser of 2 evils, though.

Local pizza places, definitely better.

all the local pizza places around here have really bad (not to mention expensive) pizza, lol.

Home made is the best, I make my own from scratch, takes a few hours but its worth the wait.

Well, I was gonna comment...but now I'm too hungry...

I like both, but I prefer Pizza Hut.

Out of those two, Pizza Hut's the best ; )

But if you're ever in my area, the biggest hit around here is Papa John's! Donato's is a great choice, too : )

I'd rather pick Sbarro for mainstream pizza chains, but if I have to choose between Pizza Hut and Domino's, I'd pick the lesser evil: Domino's. Pizza Hut's pizzas are way, way too fatty and oily for me.

Agreed. Since I have removed Domino's from my list, for garbage pizza I now order BlackJack Pizza. Although Pizza Hut can still sometimes do a decent thin crust. I don't know what the fascination they have with oil and cheese is rooted in... Come on, stuffed crust, cheese ring in the crust, enough grease and oil in the pan crust already.
