I saw it on tv and put it on my DVR and then now bought the DVD for $5. My parents didn't like all the swearing and compared one part to porn. I found it humorous for some odd reason and was curious if anyone else here on WP found the movie funnny as in laugh every ten seconds gut busting funny. :-)

Thanks I guess I have a weird sense of humor. :-( IMO you have to look beyond the vulgar to the funny unfourtunanetly some people can't do that. I hate the fake funny in comedy dribble these days IMO Borat is true Comedic gold! :-)

I loved Borat. When you go beyond the crudity you realise how clever the character is and how he pushes the buttons of those involved to break the facade of politeness and invoke some pretty interesting reactions.

I also just finished watching his other movie, Bruno, equally cringeworthy, funny, and very clever.

Borat is generally seen as offensive to many of the people of Kazakhstan..as illustrated by the comments my partner and I got from when we covered their fake national anthem:

This is actually the national anthem...we had considered covering it also.....it does have lyrics...but too hard...

Flakey's dad has worked off and on in Kazakhstan for years..."exploiting their natural resources"...as Flakey puts it..

I don't think I have seen Borat all the way through.

I liked the naked fight between Borat and Azamat, after Azamat was having a "hand party" with Pamela.

I hated it.

I found most of those old Ali G interviews he did quite funny, but I thought the Borat film was just rubbish.

I've heard several people saying how clever the film was. I don't think there's anything clever about acting like an obnoxious, disgusting jerk and then trying to portray other people's annoyance as evidence of society's so-called bigotry.

Ditto. The Borat on the Ali G show, was much funnier. I found the language and nudity of the film, too distasteful.

I liked it a lot, a lot, a lot!
Especially the part when he came back to search the black woman.
The only one who was kind at heart and with whom he had such a good, a real genuine good time.
I loved that part!

For the rest, he made me laugh a lot.
He's so good to take the worst out of people!
And to show who is really kind and hepful behind all the conventions of anything.

I thought there were a few funny parts in it, but the "Reality TV" bits where they tried to ad-lib just fell flat (which was a good portion of the movie). He should just get a solid script and stick with it.

YES. i love that movie! it's a win. :D. now the naked rippling fat man epic battle scene is a bit questionable if amusing, but it's hilarious otherwise.
and living in Turkey, which is actually like Kazakhstan in some respects, it was even funnier ^_^.
