Is a "cure" for AS as impossible as converting a human into a chimpanzee or vice versa?

It's probably about as impossible as turning a Cyberman back into a human...

Cyberman back into human, but isn't a cyberman merely a brain in a steel body? I mean it sounds reversible, you just need to make sure you've got a spare body and squash the brain back into it, that should do the trick
