Whenever someone says "ATM machine" or "PIN number" I always snap at them and am like "Don't say machine/number >>" and they're like "WTF?"

Then I have to explain it to them... >>

Uh, no... The post you just posted was your first post in this topic. Tim was "welcoming" me because I said something redundant that included "Pleased to meet you". It's one of his habits, as he stated.

I get annoyed by the same thing, but I try to refrain from correcting people. (Otherwise, everyone would hate me for correcting them constantly.)

My best friend and I used to amuse ourselves by writing an absurd magazine. We would feature a musician each month, beginning with a sentence similar to the following:

Listen, for Tim_Tex this is practically.....reflexive. Allow him this one.

At the laboratory fairly recently, I said, "It's burning on fire!" I think that qualifies. I tried to qualify my statement, writing, "It could have been technically smoldering - there's a difference, yes?"
