This will probably make me sound like a dinosaur, but...

Am I the only one here who still always writes "19..." and then spends half a minute going, "Er, uh, what year is it?" before remembering that we are now in the 21st century and years don't start with 19 any more?

I do it every time. All those years in school, etc., writing "November, 10, 1979" or whatever. It's hard to undo. And here we are with the century almost 10% over.

I always get it right in English, but if for some reason I think it in French I always think "mille neuf cent..."

I have definitely gotten the 20XX down by now. However, I tend to mix up the months. November?!? Already?? But it's only... thinking...oh snap, it is November! How time goes by...

dude! I thought I was the only one!

I was stuck in 1997 for a long long time. then in 2001 and 2003 (I don't know why I seem to register some dates more than others). I was pretty sure it was 2010 until a few months ago.

almost every time I make a money transfer I put the wrong date in the form and then have to correct it.

Ack, me too.;;;
I finished school when we were well into the 20--s, so I have that part down. (Otherwise I bet I'd still be writing 19-- too..) but the months mess me up. Actually what REALLY messes me up is writing it as numbers. I can't remember which month is which number, and I can't remember if it's the day or the month that comes first, so I always just end up writing "Nov. 10, 20--", which nobody has complained about yet, even though I've never seen anyone else do it like that..

Heh. I do that a lot. It is usually 1990-something the way I automatically write it. I get the months and days wrong as well. As soon as I get used to writing April, it is already November...

I'd only just got used to writing 19.. instead of 18.. and it's 20.. already! The last 100 years have flown past. :wink:

I find myself writing the years of the 1960s, for some strange reason.

I frequently get the years wrong but not consistently. Usually by the time I've gotten one year down the year has changed or I'm anticipating that it's changing so I write the upcoming year. I have this problem with my age as well (I really have to think about it sometimes). Also I was making a dr appointment on the phone recently and I told the person that my son was born in 1998 instead of 2008!

Often I automaticly write 2007, or just 07, I think it was from my last year of highschool which was in 2007, possibly because my accounting subject required me to write 07 quite often.

On another note I am bad with dates, I still have difficulty remembering the months which has caused some problems in that I have had to comsult a diary calendar to get the order. Though recently I have got a watch which has helped me be up to date with the date, even if it is writen in the American order, instead of dd/mm/yy.
