I guess this was a bit of an obsession of mines as a teen. I just love looking at stadiums and because I watch sport regularly, I get to see many. I'm not really sure what exactly I find appealing, but sometimes I will not focus on the sport itself, until I get an idea of how the stadium looks. Anyone else like them?

These are my favourite ones...

Seoul, South Korea

Saitama, Japan

Busan, South Korea

Old Wembley, UK

Leipzig, Germany

Vienna, Austria

Beijing, China

There are many more though. So what's your favourite?

Oooh.. that second one is really beautiful, and the last one is really cool.
I guess I don't pay much attention to stadiums unless I'm in them, but I really like to be in them. I mean, like, when they're empty, because they're so big and such an unusual shape, it's different from the kind of place you usually find yourself.
Maybe that's not the part that's interesting to you about them though, heh..

Here's another view of the second one.

Yes I do like the shape of stadiums. I just wish I could sit in one all alone.

Here's one in my home city.

This is my favourite. White Hart Lane. The home of Tottenham Hotspur Football Club:

I also give you the San Paolo Stadium in Naples:

You're probably not gonna like me saying this, but my favourite EPL satdium is the Emirates.

As far as San Poalo, I do like it, but it really needs a face lift, as do most Italian stadiums. It looks as if it hasn't changed much since the days of Maradonna. San Nicola in Bari is my favourite. :D

Did you watch the firework display? It's absolutely awesome!

The San Paolo isn't that bad. Let's face it, Napoli haven't had a great deal of money for stadium improvements over the last twenty years.

I actually prefer Highbury to the Emirates. It was a lot more atmospheric -- especially for evening matches.

If you ever get the chance, visit Old Trafford. I went there for the stadium tour on a college trip about eleven years ago. It was the day after Spurs beat United 3-1 in the Worthington (now Carling) Cup and I got to wander round the Theatre of Dreams in all my Tottenham gear  .

I have a bit of trivia for you. Did you know that four of the seven Premiership venues that were used in Euro 96 (The City Ground, Hillsborough, Elland Road and St James's Park) are owned by clubs that are no longer in the Premier League?

Nottingham Forest was the first to bite the dust in 96/97 and they were followed by Sheffield Wednesday in 99/00, Leeds United in 03/04 and, finally, Newcastle in 08/09. Only Villa Park, Anfield and Old Trafford remain.

Cool! I love the way yours looks with the city behind it.
Here's the one in my town: http://images.google.com/images?hl=en&s ... i=&start=0 (too lazy to post the pics, heh.) Wow, it looks sort of like the one I liked from your pictures. XD
There's actually another stadium right next to it.. you can see the both in this pic: http://blog.aia.org/mt-static/plugins/A ... 002605.jpg (Wow, Seattle looks flat from that view. XD; )

I do remember qwest field, when Chelsea FC played the Seattle MLS team (not sure of the name) during a pre season friendly.

Yes I did know that, don't remind about me about Newcastle getting relegated. :P And I do like San Poalo, it just needs a facelift, like The Olympic stadium in Rome had.

No one else likes stadiums then? Well, I just thought I'll show another one in my city (which I can see from my house). :)

That one's crazy, heh. It looks like a sea anemone. (like, when they've got all their tentacles sucked in.)
