Has anyone else noticed that typical behavior for Vulcans (Like Spock) tends to resemble that of a person with Asperger's.

I am pretty certain I saw an article that talked about the new Star Trek movie from the perspective of Aspergers' awareness. If you're interested, the new Star Trek movie, though it does not portray Aspergers directly, has what I think is a direct influence from the idea of Aspergers - moreso than the original series in the '60s. I certainly left the theatre thinking about how the themes extrapolated to living with Aspergers', though I could not tell you the plot details to save my life.

I am unable to find this article. Shame, since it was well written. Worst case would be I am making this up, which I hope I am not.

Well, I tend to do Spock's V-hand gesture a lot, but I have never watched Star Trek myself, save for one episode.

In the TNG series I identified a lot with Data, trying to figure out humans and how to be one.

Spock is the perfect example of an aspie.

That's actually a Jewish thing. Nimoy saw a rabbi doing it... Here's one article if you are interested: http://www.sytekcom.com/rooster/v-salute.html
Or, you can google it!
Edit: Nimoy, not Roddenbury.

Yeah, me, too! Sometimes I imagine myself a member of the Enterprise and asking Data out on a date. I remember the episode when he had a girlfriend. That was an interesting one.

The only aspie character on TNG was Spot the Cat

I disagree, I think Reg Barclay is also a candidate.

I do not think that Vulcans and Androids can be classified as Aspies. I think you have to be human in order to be neurodiverse among humans. If you are of a different species (or if you are an artificial lifeform) then your neurodiversity has to be evaluated in relation to others of your kind. What is NT for Vulcans might look like Asperger's through a human filter, but it is, nonetheless, NT.
