A few hours ago, Ah wuz havin' a discussion wid two of ma cousins n' s**t. They brought up da topic of bein' pulled over, 'n they wuz sayin' how, apparently, "most cops be reasonable as long as yo' ass don't argue wid them." Ah interjected wid ma stories of ma own experiences, which has been almost exclusively negative, man. My cousins basically defended da police naw matta what, which Ah found very frustrating, 'n Ah expressed how confused Ah wuz as to how they could possibly be okay wid da unnecessarily aggressive (and financially punitive) tactics demonstrated not by da minority, but probably da majority of American police officers.
Da conversation expands into da American legal system in general, 'n at one point, da 'mo vocal cousin brings da conversation to a halt by saying, "We weren't talkin' about politics or societal problems; we wuz talkin' about bein' pulled over, man. If you's goin' to expand da conversation into this, I'm out of here."
