Someone in the media shouldve taken the time to calculate the size of that silver balloon to see if it could even lift a ten year old boy ( or whatever his age was).

I doubt it was near big enogh to even lift a normal sized boy into the air.

Say the boy wieghted 70 pounds.

That would require about 1200 cubit feet of helium. Imagine a cube 11 feet on each side.

I doubt the balloon was even half that size.

That.

Baloon incident was an example of poor science education in the US. The boy weighted 40 or 50 lbs. A baloon required to lift that weight plus the weight of the basket and the baloon itself would need to be HUGE!

I knew there was no kid in there because it was moving around way to freely like paper and it was way to fricken small. My very limited knowledge of physics even says that's couldn't have been true.

I still can't believe people even thought someone could have been in there. That's pretty gullible of the American people. :(
