A psychologist said, that happiness does not happen though Money and Power but through the importance of family, and spending quality time with them. Very agreeable if the intention of such a comment is to make humanity more human. If you understand the term human as someone who behave with integrity, apathy and kindness then that would be good advice.

However, they do not mention that low status people are less happy and low status men are less likely to be married, or have a new family of their own, a common thing with people with Asperger syndrome. Actually that is why a high percentage of Asperger have depression, it is not directly linked to having Asperger but indirectly through being low status.

My Christmas message is more money and more power helps an aspie.

unfortunelty i was born in the wrong family. ive actually thought about joining someone elses family because i need a good family structor, now im all wacked out on drinking because of my family. most of my problems arent from any mental problems it stems form a poor family relations when i talked to my real dad recently all he wanted to talk about was how him and his dad were collecting morgan silver dollars and how he was still being a loser living with my aunt not getting a job, my aunt sais he is like the way he is because the military did something to his brian so now he cant function or even awkowlege his children. i'll probably go though life and never have a family or do anything to contribute to sociaty and if i do, i will consider it to be a miricle

I may not believe in free will and the fact that we are a product of our genetics and our environment, no more or no less. But I do believe that we do have a choice, a choice to fight, a chance to make better of things. We all have that choice.

You said that you have a drinking problem. The good news is you have great scope for improving. From my point of view to have great scope for improvement is a gift.

I cannot guarantee that you will have a family of your own, but I can guarantee that you can be of benefit to society. Though I am a low status individual, by NT standards, I know that I am of benefit to society, I am lucky enough to have a full time job and one on the side. I also like to believe that I do not contribute to anyone’s misery directly or indirectly. The lack of integrity I see from the many NTs in general, I wonder what they contribute themselves

I like your message. aspies are great. I also in positive thinking and that we can change if we want to. I have had many problems before now that I have gotten through with the same approach Aspie_Chav has just outlined. :)

It is really possible to make things better.

:D

You are not your father, you are uniquely your own person
and you will struggle with your own problems, and you can blame them on your family, but that won't help you in the long run.

Your real dad is an aspy and if he only wants to talk about collecting morgan silver dollars, then talk to him about collecting morgan silver dollars!

I'm serious dude!
He's the only father you'll ever have!
That's how you contribute to society!
