*sigh*. Most of my Highschool experience was spent being bullied, extremely badly, and having terrible luck with friends. Anyway, my brother posted on facebook (which I finally felt comfortable to join) that I was watching one of his favorite TV shows. I felt good because I was taking an interest in something he liked, that I have no interest what so ever in. Then one of his friends (not the closest, but they hung out a couple of times when he was in highschool) said "Dude. You have a sister?" I was like Meh?! I mean, I don't mind if he doesn't tell everyone he meets about me. but this guy should have known. He was a grade above me. I had posted on here when i was younger, about my confusion and troubles with a friend of mine. She had become boy crazy and had a new boyfriend, literally, every few days. He was one of the guys she pursued and spent time with. She had even ditched me on Halloween to go hang out with this guy. So, i'm kinda confused as to why he wouldn't know who I am.

It made me feel weird.

dude dude dude...i have a brother who has a bajillion friends and a lot of them don't know who i am.
a year ago i was attending a different college than i am now(never never never never again), sitting in my 10 am philosophy class when i heard some girls talking next to me "who are you texting?" "oh so and so." "oh, i love him!"
me: "oh, so am i. he's my brother."
girl: "oh, really! it's so and so's brother!"
me: "yep, woodee doo."
she confused by my uncaring attitude. :?

i'm pretty darn used to be used being my brother's sister. i actually recognized her after talking to her but she didn't recognize me.
don't worry about those who don't know you. too many people in this world for that madness.

I went to my high school reunion, and realized I didn't remember any of them, either...;)

I spent my teen years hanging out with a group of people who to this day know me only as "G's sister". Then I got married and i'm known to most people as "Chris' wife"... or worse yet "Chris has a wife?"

Probably has something to do with my lack of abilities in the introducing self department.

If he wasn't in your grade it;s not surprising. It is also possible however he knows who you are but does not know your last name or associate you with your brother, he may remember you as "girl you mentioned before"'s friend?
