news station goes to three high end and low end stores, what do they find?

"feces, fecal organisms, vaginal secretions, yeast!" etcetera:

solution: Always wear clothes underneath, wash your hands after shopping, and wash the clothes before use.

And just like the bacteria in your tooth brush, they are not really a big deal until you find out they exist. So thanks for telling us.

That's why I usually wash mine before wearing them.

I know "bacterias/etc are all around us". My own? It's fine, I can deal with that,
but it's "a little bit" disgusting that this is OTHER PEOPLE'S DIRT!

And who knows what other stuff lurks in there...

Toothbrushes contain feces, your own feces. But feces in general (even your own) are incredibly dangerous to your health. The thing is that the amount is a trace amount, so it actually does no effect.

Plus, the toothpaste that you put on your toothbrush would likely kill most of the bacteria before you put it in your mouth.

But seriously, who doesn't wash their clothes before wearing them? Seems nuts to me.

This doesn't surprise me as much as it should. I always wash my clothes before I wear them too, seems inconceivable to not wash them at least once before wearing them.

I more wash clothes before wearing because of the chemicals they put in them to stop them creasing in the shop, but if it gets rid of bacteria also then all well and good.

I'll be the token nut who doesn't wash clothes before wearing them.

I never buy clothes in stores. I buy them from catalogues or online. Therefore, the clothes I buy have never been tried on by anybody else nor have they been handled by an enormous number of store customers and employees before I buy them.

Since I only buy clothes that are "factory fresh" and have never been in a store, they have recieved minimal handling and have been touched mainly by machines.

How do you know how, where and by who they have been made?

I never wash clothes when I buy them. Oh well, does not bother me much (if it were underwear it would be another story though)

I'm a germophobe by nature anyway, so I tend to avoid buying clothes that look "worn" (not on the hanger properly, buttons undone etc.). When I buy clothes I take whatever is there in my size from near the back of the rack as other customers touch and handle the clothing that's hanging right at the front when admiring the clothing item. I wash new clothes when I buy them as the smell and feel of them tend to bother me.
