If you could go back in time to any period in history, where would you like to go?

Myself, I would like to visit Europe during the Renaissance. I don't know why, but the Renaissance has always been very appealing to me. :)

...oh, and ancient china, india, greece, macedonia, persia, egypt, sumeria... and old world, pre-conquistador south american civilisations.

I'd like to visit the late 2nd century and take a road trip from Hadrian's Wall to Rome.

Generally, I like the republic better than empire, but 2nd century was Roman civilization at it's most spectacular...

Maybe even meet Marcus Aurelius and get a signed, first edition of Meditations. :D
(better yet, two, one for me and one for eBay) :P

I just thought of another period I'd like to visit - 18th-century Europe during the Enlightenment, particularly England and France.

If i could i would go back to 1999-2002 cuz i would be able to play all of my old ps1 games they where awsome Oh and also have a chat to my young self and tell him the world you see is not the world everyone else sees! honestly if i look back at how confused i was when i was young i would have been amused by my actions aswell but one thing is for sure i was very very happy during that time period i wanna go back!! now :(

Oooohhhh. I would love to go to medieval Spain, during Isabella I's reign. Possibly around the time she conquered Granada. Possibly also I'd like to visit the Ottoman Empire. During the Reign of the Favored Women. I wouldn't want to be one of the favored women, though. You have to sleep with the sultan and all that. I'd much rather simply be one of the princesses.
