A few days ago, I left my house keys jabbed inside the keyhole of the front door. My parents found out when they came home. This was not the first time something like this happened. In my dorm at univesity, I have left my keys inside the keyhole before.

When I was 16 I hitchhiked, barefoot, to Ocean City, MD, 150 miles from my home, in order to try to fit in with the cool crowd.

Embarrassed myself on a Phoenix Wright forum by openly talking about a sexual fetish...

Start crying in front of all my friends, in public.

Long story- I couldn't locate the brakes on a bike, was about to crash into a wall, used my head. Luckily I was wearing a helmet or I'd be on a ton of shock sites.

Tried to go backwards up a massive zipwire, got stuck, and nearly got crippled when the next person came down the zipwire.

I forgot about the drink on top of my car and I drove away. When I got to the first stop it flew forward and covered my windsheild. It was a very busy intersection.

Placed my just-purchased coffee down on the subway token machine as I was getting tokens...then forgetting about it until later when the caffeine cravings have kicked in.

Yes, this has happened more than once.

My diagnoses - social anxiety disorder and obsessive-compulsive disorder.

I’m no longer involved with the ASD world.

the most stupid thing i have done in the last 12 months is breaking a window of mine and hurting my chest when it was not necessary.

i am sorry but i can not make this short so just skip it if it is too long.

my car's central locking system (which includes the petrol cap door) was not working a few months ago, and with my usual set of keys, i could not get the petrol cap door to open. i had another set of keys which had a manual petrol cap key as well, so i had to use those keys to go and get petrol.

i went out absent mindedly and got the petrol and bread etc, and when i got home, i pulled the keys out of the ignition and when i started sorting for my house key, it dawned on me that the keyring i was using had no house key on it.

every window in my house is locked because a "lawn mowing" man who i employed once came back and broke in and stole $700 while i was out.

the cheapest (and easiest) window to break is one at the back of the house, and it's sill is about 9 ft up.
i had no ladder, so i went and got 4 milk crates from the shed and stacked them up so i could stand on them. but i could not climb onto the crates which were very horizontally unstable.
i needed a stairway to the top crate, so i got some sawn log segments from the garden and put them down (one segment tall, then two segments tall etc) until i had a wobbly dangerous stairway that i carefully climbed up to step onto the top milk crate which was about 4-5ft high. at this height, the windowsill was still 4-5 ft higher, so it was level with my upper sternum in my chest.
then i realized i had nothing to break the window with so i had to get back down, and it was harder to walk down the stairs than up, because on the way up, i held the logs in front of me for balance, but on the way down, i had to balance on my feet only on the wobbly logs. (i realize now i could have descended backwards but i was anxious)

i got a screwdriver and towel from the shed, and i climbed back up and smashed the window and pulled out all the jagged glass on the bottom edge.

then i grabbed the ledge and tried to lift myself up high enough so my stomach would be the part of my body that would rest on the sill as i clambered in.

as i lifted myself, the milk crates fell down and i held on to the ledge, but i was too low and i pulled myself up and hauled myself over the very sharp metal lower edge of the window frame and grazed my chest and abdomen.
as my center of gravity passed to inside the house and i lowered my hands to the floor to hand walk the rest of my body through the window, my other set of keys (with the door key on it) fell out of my top pocket onto the carpet in front of my face.

i forgot that i had the foresight before i left to take both sets of keys.

i never thought to check my pockets to confirm i did not have my main keys with me.
i was cranky for ages after that.
