Mmmmmm...fried chicken, fried fish, fried grits, fried tatters, fried green tomaters, fried squirrel, fried opossum, fried frog legs, fried craw fish, fried mushrooms, fried cucumbers, pickled pigs feet, pork beans, smoked hickory steak, dirty rice, ham hock, pork ribs, boudin, crab cake, chikn'dumplins, chitlins, crackln' pork ears, jambalaya, livermush, pulled pork, corn bread, hushpuppies, homemade biscuits, po'boys, brisket, sweet ham, corn mush.

Le's not fo'get southerners with a sweet tooth: banana pie, apple pie, peach cobbler,blackberry cobbler, pecan pie, cherry pie, lemon pie, custard pie, chocolate pie, moon pie, candy apples, pecan brittle, peanut brittle, bourbon balls, squirrel nut zippers, pralines, cinnamon stickers, honey stickers, goo-goo cluster, homemade vanilla, strawberry, peach, icecream.

Yeah, I'm happy about having moved to the south. They didn't have any such thing as Key Lime pie where I come from, nor restaurants where the meat is cooked on an open pit barbecue, nor dirty rice, pulled pork or biscuits and gravy. Yum!

i love southern food. i use to live in the south but im glad im outta there, its just too backwards for me :?

makes good jelly!! !

I used to live in the south...but it is tooo hot in the summer, winters are nice though

I live in the south's heart Kentucky.

Oddly I don't really eat that much southern food.

oooooooh, lawd.
A lot of those foods are just second nature to me(new orleans is where i be).
also crawfish etouffee, beignets, and gumbo. boudin, chicken livers, and hog head cheese are my father's greatest loves.

You know, I always thought chicken fried steak was a steak placed inside a chicken and fried. I was dissapointed when I learned that it was just like a schnitzel.
