I saw a funny movie yesterday about the 60´s. It is called "The Boat That Rocked" staring Philip Seymour Hoffman (I´m his fan). Well, the story of the movie is about a boat in which there was a pirate radio. It was the 60´s in the UK and the only official radio broadcaster was the BBC and they played only a few hours of popular music. So pirate radios operating in international waters would broadcast pop and rock songs to the UK. I thought it was funny. I rented the DVD because I saw in "Amazing Journey: The Story of the Who" that was that way that The Who became popular with its first hit "I Can´t Explain" which was inspired by the riffs of the Kinks (mainly "Girl you really got me"). I though that you would might like this movie CockneyRebel. Also "Amazing Journey: The Story of the Who" is very good!
