Mainly I'd love to have a higher singing voice. :? Mine doesn't fit too well for most male parts and I can't hit the higher notes of female parts, so I'm always having to bugger about with songs to make them sing-able.

That aside, I've always wanted to play the guitar and I've tried several times to learn, but I just can't get the coordination. Which is silly, given the speed I touch-type. :?

(I do, or rather did, play any brass instrument of the standard trumpet form, but I've never been especially good.)

Piano and/or violin, because they're both so graceful and elegant. :)

If you need some singing advice, I am HEAVILY interested in singing technique! PM me if you want help. B) (Breath support is necessary for all high and deep singing, and twang is great for high-pitched rock/soul-style singing.)

If I want to learn to play an instrument, I just play it until I learn it (and learn some basic technique). People said I couldn't do that with violin, but they're fools. I ENJOY playing scales. For hours... With the wonderful, annoying midi-sound playing slooowly in the background.

Ah. Good times!

Oh. I would like to play all instruments. And I would really like to play a rock band.. But I don't have enough arms.. :(

I know how you feel, but make a simple beat in a demo-version of FL Studio or something and just play along. If you like metronomes, that can work too. But I find myself getting distracted by them.

I tried learning guitar not to long ago and used a metronome but the sound cut in and I kept switching focus to it's sound and it threw me off. I used to play piano when I was young and had this Goliath lady for a teacher who was very strict, that didn't work out very well since instead of learning to like it I was repulsed by her teaching and lost interest.
I invested my energy into art instead.

I've always wanted to learn how to play the violin or the cello, sadly, my fingers can't curve correctly around the neck.

The piano. I have a small bit of raw talent that I could use if I practiced, but I get frustrated too easily. It's difficult for me to accompany my right hand with my left, and my small fingers have trouble stretching to reach keys.

I always wanted to learn to play the guitar, then a some years ago I decided to buy on to try to learn. I played it some, realized how hard it is and lost interest REAL fast. It has sat here collecting dust ever since, so the people in this thread who want to learn to play the guitar, I have one slightly used guitar and amp for sale  (actually I will probably just keep it, it is a nice decoration to have around, and it can be used to drive my parents nuts
