"Ya right..."
"Thanks a lot"

Agreed? I cannot think of an instance when someone said these and it is not sarcasm. The second one should be "thank you very much" if you don't want it to be used as sarcasm.

I've heard "Thanks a lot" when people don't use it as sarcasm. For instance at the railway station, when they pay for their tickets.

They are often used for both sarcastic and non sarcastic comments.

Another one I thought of its..."Duh, ya think?!" & I'm pretty sure that's almost always sarcastic.

When I mean "thanks" I say "thanks", when I mean "I would like to thank you more than is customary" I say "thanks a lot", so you are not right about that one.

"Get outta here", that was always a really hard one for me. People say that a lot and for the longest time I didnt know they were being sarcastic. that one still throws me off sometimes. I never know if they dont want me around or if they dont believe what I am talking about.

The other one for me was "no way" I used to try to give facts to justify what I was saying when they were just in disbelief.

When people say 'Very good' in a sarcastic manner always got me confused.
or 'Do you think!'
