If theres more then say, 20 responses, I just scroll past a thread!

Yes I know the feeling.
After the first page or two the thread has probably gone off topic and has degenerated into an argument between two or three people.

I can relate. I rarely respond for the first time to a thread that exceeds two pages, unless the thread is interesting enough for me to read through all those pages.

I prefer responding to newer threads.

Most topics here at WP eventually degenerate into something utterly unworthy of reading. It's always best to get in early. Was this worth reading? Probably not.

I usually won't bother reading the other replies if it is a huge thread, and I'll just answer the original post and then leave the thread. Can't be arsed to read like 100 posts or something to answer a simple question.

Sometimes long threads are interesting so I read all those pages. Sometimes I just skip to the last page and see the responses. Sometimes long threads were started several years ago such as "Most people here don't have AS" because it keeps getting bumped. Dramas and debates usually make them long. Same as when aspies have a disagreement about something so they argue.

Yes I agree completely. I only joined this thread because it was short.

I can't do long responses unless it would be something I would say by heart, it would just be very long, could possible be many pages long with a couple of paragraphs.

I don't mind reading long threads, which some I find interesting, but unfortunately, my response to almost everything is pretty short.

Reading long threads can take you a few hours depending on how long it is and how long the posts are. I go to one forum and they expect you to read everything if you want to know about something. They even encourage lurking for a while before posting.

Usually I want to respond to the OP directly because the title and what is said in the OP appeals to me. But if the thread has evolved than either what I wanted to say has been said already or the thread has derailed so much that my response would not make sense anymore.

I may read them but if it's a lengthy discussion that I will have no place in when joining, then I skip! I really, really do hate joining long threads. Really, really, really.

oh wow! we all in this thread should really join one and the same group as fans for non long threads with short sentences or something ....
