I'm not talking obsessions, just celebrities that you like more than others.

My example: Betty White. The only thing I've really watched with her in it was Lake Placid (which sucked). But even seeing her on TV or hearing her makes me happy. Also, this picture which I found today is another reason she's awesome.

This is the late actor Robert Shaw, an actor I idolized when I was growing up. I was amazed at his role as Captain Quint in Jaws. I also enjoyed his performance as Romer Treece in The Deep. He had a voice that was hard to forget. I remember an assignment I had to do in junior high school---it was a biography. I did one on Robert Shaw. After class, my teacher called me aside and said, "Robert Shaw died recently." I felt numb. My movie idol was dead.

I really enjoy watching The Smoking Gun Presents World's Dumbest Criminals/Partiers/Drivers/etc. on TruTV because I've grown somewhat attached to the celebrities that provide the commentary for each video. My favorites are Leif Garrett, Danny Bonaduce, Gary Busey, Tony Harding, Judy Gold and Loni Love. And yet, I have no real reason to feel attached to them other than the fact that I feel familiar with them from seeing so many episodes of the show. Familiarity breeds comfort, I suppose. It's gotten to the point where I actually worry about World's Dumbest being taken off the air sometimes, and I don't like the newer episodes simply because my favs aren't all in them anymore.

Someone I like with knowing why...hmm.

I suppose it'd have to be Jim Carrey. I don't like what I've read about the guy, I don't like him when he's being himself (interviews, etc.) and I really don't like his girlfriend, but every time I see him in a movie I love everything he does.

In opinion, he should play Moriarty in any future
sequel to Sherlock Holmes, to compliment
the acting skills of Robert Downey Jr.
