A few times in the past I have posted threads and instead they break out into flames. Members start attacking each other and then the thread is locked. Or members start getting provoked and flames break out or a drama and the thread is locked.

Ouch :!: :!: :!:

But..................... I would certainly agree that 'going down in flames' can have different meanings in relation to a 'thread'.

I won't pretend that mine is the ONLY interpretation of the meaning.

Furthermore, your description of my thread title being misleading is at best................subjective.

Perhaps I could start a new thread poll: 'Was Blindspot being misleading when..............'

Back on topic.

I PMed you about this very thing last week (as well you know) and so to avoid THIS thread being hijacked and going down in flames, I will simply answer YES and refrain from adding any details about my hijacked thread.

I'm flattered with your repackaging of my thread, which I started earlier today.

Wonder who will get the most views and responses.

Wonder who WINS if one of us gets more responses and the other gets more views...........ah.............the Olympics all over again..........

Yes, repeatedly, but not on here. It really upset me at the time, and left me with a somewhat cavalier attitude to discussion forums and a disinclination to start threads of me own.

And relax, guys. :P

At some point, yes. I don't remember any specifics.

It's never happened to me. All my threads have been about innocuous stuff though.

And the night comes again to the circle studded sky
The stars settle slowly, in loneliness they lie
'Till the universe expodes as a falling star is raised
Planets are paralyzed, mountains are amazed
But they all glow brighter from the briliance of the blaze
With the speed of insanity, then he died.

I don't think I got that PM because the PM I got from you was about trolls. I checked my inbox and didn't see a PM about going into flames. Maybe it didn't go through.

It's happened to me, many times, over the 6 years that I've been here. I'm used to it. 8)

I don't think my threads have been flamed here. I was burned down to a pile of ashes on my last (NT) forum, though. 8O

i would be reluctant to say that it was misleading, i would more readily say that a lot of folk [including moi] just didn't get the ironic slant of it. iow, it was a bit subtle. i don't do subtle well at all.
anyways, i found out the hard way that film snobs and repubs are mean and prone to invective. both here and on sound and vision forums. avoid them if at all possible.

Some time ago I posted a politically incorrect joke on some other board and others were really angry that I could make something like that a butt of jokes, they wanted me to be banned  I'm going to post a couple of such jokes in there again and pretend I don't understand what the fuss (which will appear FOR SURE) is about

I once started a thread on Toho Kingdom about whether or not the director Ryuhei Kitamura was worthy of being called the Uwe Boll of Japan. Chaos reigned.

That's not really happened to any of my posts, but that's probably because I am quite self centred and tend not to write about politics, opinions and stuff. Someone tried to provoke me recently but I just fired it back at them!

That's only happened to me like once when this person suddenly just attacked me through my post just out of nowhere and I don't know why she ever did that, she was clearly an idiot.

I was also in a bad mood at the time so that obviously didn't help. :(
