Through my whole life I can't just tell myself to sit down and finish an assessment. Right now I'm doing a software assessment that is due tomorrow, and I'm just starting. But even now I'm on WP and listening to distracting music. Is anyone else like this?

Yes me too. I can be distracted by the most useless things too... like I'd rather push my cuticles back and clean the dirt from my fingernails for an hour than work on an assignment. I don't know what to say other than maybe try going to a place outside your house to study where your usual distractions aren't present, like a library. Truthfully, that tactic doesn't even work for me :P . Because then I get distracted by my daydreams, doodling, and writing diary entries. Hm, I don't know, I guess what it comes down to is exercising self-control and getting down to work  .

I've been like this about house work, for a week and a half, now. I might stay home, tomorrow and clean my apartment up.

I have the exact same problem. I usually don't get any homework done until the night before. I guess it's just my nature to procrastinate a lot.

My procrastination is due to my depression. I just need to put aside a day to stay home from my clubhouse, and take as long as it takes, with frequent breaks and a short nap, or two and get it done, tomorrow, before my best friend comes back from Maui.

Why do you think I'm on WP right now?
It's because there is a project sitting in front of me looking exactly the same as it did 3 days ago, and I can't bring myself to pick it up yet.

I've read that people with ADD symptoms need the adrenaline rush that panic gives you in order to finish something on deadline.

I planned on explaining why I procrastinate in this post, but I've decided to do it later.

I think a lot of people are like that, it's just a case of ignoring the urge to be lazy and just getting on with it. I guess if you're seriously passionate about something, though, this isn't a problem, hence why we have no trouble with researching our obsessions all day.

I got my bathroom cleaned and mopped my kitchen floor, yesterday. That's a really big feat for me. Today I'll vacuum when I get back from my clubhouse, at 11:30, after I have a sandwich.

Hey!! I said sandwich, instead of salad! :D That's a whole different story, altogether.
