I hardly ever post a topic and when I do, it'll get an average of 3 to 0 responses.

Anyone else have this problem?

This is one of my biggest pet peeves on here.

It depends on the post. I have not started a great many topics here, but the few I have started have gotten a few replies. It is just as it is on any other forum here. On other forums where I have started several topics, some have gotten many replies, whereas some got none. What kind of topics have you started? If they are questions, perhaps most people have the same questions and don't know how to answer.

Not much just personal stuff going on in my life with a question of whether or not anyone shares anything in relation to it.

Anything serious really like in the adult in depth forum, haven and even here.

I have not looked in the haven much, but I have noticed many times personal things are not responded to. It is difficult to respond to personal things perhaps. I am not sure how many people are like me on this, but I rarely post unless I think I have a solution to the dilema the original poster is experiencing.

Yeah, I never get any responses for most of my threads... most I kill with the opening post.

So far here, I've not had a thread bomb. On other forums, nearly every time!

This happens to me every now and then and it really frustrates me. If nobody replies, or if only a couple people reply I assume that people do not know much about the topic and/or do not care enough to reply.

I feel like all I do is kill threads.

Instructions for making a thread bomb:

1. Get a lot of thread neatly in one location.
2. Place an angry kitten near that location.
3. Run.

am too new here to have noticed too many of the veterans here and too many of their posts. but i generally try to reply to posts that i "know my head from a hole in the ground" about. i promise that i will try to read and reply to your posts if you will have me. i can't do this too often on PPR 'cause i frankly am not intellectually equipped to properly acquit myself there. but on nearly all the other WP forums i'm just having too much fun mental stimulation for me to not talk with y'all.

I used to compare the 'views' per 'replies' on threads.
It runs at about 200 : 1, approximately

I think it's just completely random,
about who's on at a particular time and in a particular place.

You can pour your soul into the thread of your life
and it drops like a stone,

six months later some body asks the same question
and it gets worried at like a Hyena with his last bone!

on some topics which are exclusive rather than inclusive [e.g., tattoos, which only some folk have experience with] one will naturally get fewer replies than with a more general topic such as politics or religion or favorite movies. it is not so much that folk "don't care" but that they "don't know." my topics are a mix of highfalutin' and lowbrow, and i find i get more or less an equal amount of replies with both categories, i.e., a moderate amount but more than i ever expected, in anycase. i am thankful for any positive attention, no matter how modest. if my head is up to your speed [of your topic] i will try to reply, for whatever that is worth.
