Sorry if I posted this in the wrong section.. I just noticed the music section lol.. Trance is great, metal sometimes.. I find country music, and rap music similar .. in the sense that they both tell story's of that lifestyle. The instrumentals are great too. I guess it depends on what's on.

Country and Rap is overly played down here in the land of fried chicken.

It even gets mixed together and yes I know the joke Country plus Rap = Crap.

People are being dumb downed by music though.. culturally, they make these bad influential songs popular on purpose .. It's truely sad some of the lyrics to songs, and people idolize and emulate that lifestyle because its influential in their area and to impress peers, it catches on like a virus "soulja boy" etc...

Mass radio telling you to do bad things, it never clicks with most of the public that its a brain washing tactic and these people buy into it. Yeah, the instruments and technology used to make the track are nice.. but the lyrics and vocalists are damned for influencing so many people to do so many things that mess up their lives.

Minimal Techno, Psychedelic Trance (ie. Goa), Drum'n'Bass, Oldies (60-70ies rock), Classical + most music really, but artificially except music that manages to go into a top 10 anywhere.

Well personally I think psychedelic trance is pretty crappy.

music generally from the classical/baroque era, up to the 1970s with occasional forays into modern times. but no rap/hiphop or its urban variants. but country "rap" is interesting. yes there is such a thing as country rap. have no idea what the proper non-vulgar term for it is- tex-hop? western rap? cow rap?wrap? arkenhop?
also, the music played at the mesa AZ organ stop pizza on their humongous wurlitzer theatrical pipe organ, with all the sound effects and percussions, is just glorious.

I listen to a lot of different music including
pop(this includes disney artist), emo, light/soft rock, love songs, hard rock, classic rock, punk, grunge, ska, alternative, disco, 80s pop & metal, country, cabaret, comedy, song parodies, weird funny stupid songs, some stuff that most people don't consider music, some celtic, some folk, some irish, drinking songs, some metal(I'm not into stuff that sounds like grunting with static), some christian rock(I'm not into religion but if the songs are about personal & life issues & sounds like a pop beat; I may like it), I'm not really into rap much but I do like some, same with teckno. I like some underground independent stuff.

Fine! As long as I don't have to listen to eurodance, I'll be happy. :)

I make a little music on hobby basis, btw., and making a eurodance track (without the modulated voice of course) takes about 10 minutes. Just so you know.

I like to listen to a lot of different types of music....some of it bugs me. My daughter went through a phase where she listened to "screamo"??? music. I didnt like that at all. I used to say that I didnt like Country music but there is a lot of songs that I like that would be considered as such. Sometimes I get stuck on a certain type of music. I really love 70s and 80s music because it is what I grew up on. Sometimes Ill go for days listening to Celtic fiddle music. Just depends on where my head is.
I will say one thing about music....It pulls this passion out of me that nothing else does. I have emotion with some music that I can not obtain in any other way.
