I went into the living room throwing my bouncy ball up in the air and catching it without looking (I'm THAT GOOD!) Ya stimming! Dad said if I did that with driving I'd be fine look both ways WITHOUT doing it and automatically knowing while driving. I never thought to apply this simple stim to the concept of driving. :-) YA!

No- I think it is better to have a habit of turning your head both ways. If you take it for granted you will end up in a wreck!

Rule of thumb when driving:

Keep your eyes on the road.

That rule should keep you from doing anything else in the car such as trying to change a CD or looking for something. You pull over and do it.

Good ways of stimming as you drive is tapping your fingers on the steering wheel or swaying your body.

nooooooooooo
you have a good point if you are aware of the road at that level you see things that happen before they happen
the idea is to never be too preoccupied
seeing everything at once is the safest way to drive and if you can, practice-practice-practice
