I used to have nightmares about this scene. I mean, I love it now, but I still scroll down in fear at "BAAAAAAAAAAAAABE!"
Anyone who's seen the Pink Floyd movie The Wall knows what this scene is supposed to be, and I recommend the film to anyone who hasn't. The Wall is about a man named Pink, who has a very bad childhood and grows up to be a rockstar. However, he begins to take drugs, and his life becomes even worse: He imagines his concert to be a Neo-Nazi rally, ordering his fans to attack various minorities as he builds a mental "Wall", distancing himself from humanity. His wife cheats on him, and he still has bad memories about his overprotective Mother and his cruel teacher. Then we reach The Trial, which takes place inside Pink's head. There, warped, surreal versions of his fears from both adulthood and childhood speak to him, giving their reasons for treating him the way they did whilst still maintaining an exaggerated, menacing feel. For me the scariest characters are the Wife and Mother. The Wife is represented by a creepy human/scorpion thing that loudly swears at Pink and attacks him. The Mother, immediately afterwards, bursts in, represented by an abstract, morphing airplane. Then it turns into a giant vaginal mouth and tries to eat him... I'm off to watch this freakout again... (It fascinates me!)

That was incredibly disturbing. I don't know whether I want to pour a mixture of bleach and holy water into my brain through the eye sockets, or watch the whole movie.

Amen to that. It IS an incredibly decent movie though. Hella catchy, seeing as it's Pink Floyd. And yes, the whole darn movie is just as screwed up as what you just saw and only parts of it are animated...

The animated scenes are the only good part of the movie, and those were also used in the live show, which was much, much, much better.

I wish they'd release it on DVD, but I don't think they ever will I kind of want to rewatch it...I should see if I can't find a decent quality torrent of it...haven't really watched any good concert vids since VCD trading went out of style.

The In The Flesh bit was okay. Also, because everyone knows it, sing it with me... All in all, you are all just bricks in The Wall... Damn Pink Floyd is catchy...

Awesome movie, one of my favorites. I cant get enough of the dark, trippy, disturbing goodness. I thought the creepiest part is right after he shaves his eyebrows off.

That's my favourite scene in the movie. I guess my friend was right when he said I like messed up stuff.

I haven't seen the movie but I LOVE the album, am going to see it live next year can't wait!! !

For me the best part of this scene is the giant scorpion/woman thing.

I really like this movie but most people I know say it's boring.

Hmmm...I vividly remember watching this countless times between the ages of 2 and 8. I can even remember building myself a couch fort while Pink built his own psychological wall, then crashing through it and getting yelled at for tearing up the living room. I also remember feeling that his depictions of certain characters were rather accurate in my own young life.

No wonder I'm screwed up. XD

We watch this movie every Christmas eve in our house.

It's tradition in the babybird residence.

I don't find it particularly disturbing.

I love that freakout part... From memory it's the one where the shadow of the lady walks across the wall and turns into the flowergina?

Haha kinda how we watch Night of the Lepus every Easter here in the Rabbit Hole! ^_^ The viewing of films like The Wall are more of a lazy Sunday afternoon sort of thing for us.

It takes a lot to freak this family out! *cackles*. I bet the same could be said for most Aspie families!

I was very sick when I first saw it, and did not have a pleasant experience at all. I couldn't even listen to the album for years without feeling seriously ill.
