How do people hide their posts?

You know when you go and look in someone's profile and see their posts. Most of the time they'll show up but lately I've noticed a few members' who's posts won't come up and will instead say "No topics or posts met your search criteria".

How do they do that?

"They" don't. Their posts have been removed by Alex or a moderator.

It also happens when people have a hyphen in their username; it messes up the URL for the search. For example, if there was a user called Example-User, if one clicked on "show all posts by Example-User", instead of coming up as http://www.wrongplanet.net/forumssearch ... -User.html, the URL would be http://www.wrongplanet.net/forumssearch ... .html-User.

Which is another long standing issue that Alex has known about for over a year and has neither done anything to fix the issue (either in php or by restricting usernames) or by announcing the issue publicly.
