I had a brief melt down the other day.

I was trying to fix a problem with my windows Vista 32 bit OS, (ba****ds) laptop ...............and I misunderstood what was being explained..

Fortunately the guy fixing it, (who did a GREAT job) and my wife (who always does a great job) were very patient.

It was really something as simple as me 'taking things literally'.

I tipped the guy an extra $10 when he finished and thanked him for his patience.

Today.............I was just Rainman :D

You have any stories like this :?:

i've had many meltdowns because of computers, yes! sometimes, they just don't work right and I can't make any sense of it.

It seems to be 'settled' that Windows Vista 32 bit is an abortion.

One of the things I don't understand is why they aren't subject to a class action law suit for trade fraud.

It is simply organized crime to run a monopoly AND to 'release' an operating system that takes us back to the Stone Age.

I have no intentions of ever buying another windows pos for either personal or business use.

If Gates suffers a fraction of how his victim 'customers' have suffered, he is in for a painful and slow death...........

....You can't possibly have any idea how often I wish for this! I have actually had more freak-outs while on the phone with Microsoft customer service representatives than while actually trying to fix computer problems myself.

My laptop tends to bring out the worst in me. Last month, I began to get frustrated with it, and I started pounding the keyboard with my fists, and it broke. I had to take it to get repaired, which took two weeks.

I just added some RAM to my Acer (vista 32) laptop.

Reason........well, it seems that more than 95% of the factory fitted RAM is used up just by turning the f*****g computer on :!:

I can see some improvement.

I am getting an 'upgrade' to 7, in the hope that I will then be able to describe my plugin keyboard device as a computer, rather than an anxiety delivery device.

Life could be worse..........I could LOOK like gates :D

I just had a minor meltdown on holiday :!:

The details will be meaningless to those members who take budget vacations, so I will spare you the specifics.

Suffice to say, I was most uncomfortable with my surroundings.

I won't get fooled again.
