I feel the same way as you. I've reached pretty much full height and I'm physically an adult, but that's as far as it goes. Inside my head it's a whole different story.

Yeah, but a long as you let your inner child out every now & then it's not so bad. You just gotta remember that there's a certain place & time where it's okay to be childish.

I usually feel as incompetent as a child in the societal expectations of what an adult is supposed to have achieved.
On the other hand, in some ways I feel about a 100.

I'm the exact opposite. I'm an adult trapped in a kid's body.

This! In addition, it doesn't help that my mom, as a personality quirk, talks to EVERYONE as though they were part of her kindergarten class (she is a teacher).

I feel like a 60s teenager, trapped in the body of a modern day adult.

I feel like a child controlling an adult body, which is a lot more fun than being a child locked inside an adult body.

^ Heh, I suppose just before we are born we are trapped in an adult body. :P

But as to the OP's question, yeah. But also old in some ways. And alien in others.

I know I am a kid locked in an adult body. I have the intelligence of the average adult my age, but emotionally/perceptually I'm about 15 years old. Sad but true.

Yes. Whenever I ask my mom where I am developmentally, she consistently says I'm like a 14 or 15 year old. My mom says that I might "grow up" some more or I may always stay like this, and she says she is fine either way.

Some of my childlike behaviors:

- The majority of movies I watch are rated PG-13 or lower
- I sleep with teddybears (four of them)
- I still call my parents "mommy" and "daddy"
- I still have imaginary friends

Yes, like Aimless; most of the time I feel like a child/teenager in an adult body, speaking to adults as if I'm still in school, ( when I pick my 10 year old son up at school I feel like an interloper among the mothers/parents, as if I'm waiting to be allowed out myself ), and at other times as if I am indeed a hundred years old or close, repeatedly amazed at how ignorant/intellectually naive and unquestioning supposed adults are. And the rare times that I get to hang out with friends/likeminded people, eg. at the WP meet in Avignon last year, I feel like a teenager with other teenagers, in a hallowed/sacred/precious space away from all the boring/repressive adults.
