Underbite

I have an underbite, and I was put on Mercy Care plan. The two have nothing to do with each other, but in the Mercy Care book it says that it covers dental. Therefore, does that mean it will cover some of the orthodontist bills? I have my first consultation with the orthodontist on Thursday, and this underbite is really annoying me. I don't smile, I bite my tongue in my sleep, and I don't like biting down all the way because my teeth hit uncomfortably. Also I have a cross bite. The dentist said I have a severe class 3, with an anterior crossbite. I'm also 18, and I'm sick of this underbite

Calling/emailing Mercy Care and asking what they will cover would be the most direct method. You could also ask your orthodontist's office to call Mercy Care and see how much of the procedure/orthopedic they will cover before proceeding. They would probably do this anyway after the consult. Just ask them what's covered and what the cost to you will be.
