about my dreams these past months...it's weird

before i met my GF, i dreamed relatively little, they were typically very confusing and random; jumbled; incoherent, & usually i didn't remember them upon waking.

Ever since i met my GF on the other hand, my dreams have become more vivid, coherent,some of them like watching an awesome adventure movie, but some just kinda interesting, some even still kinda weird, but not jumbled and weird in a good interesting way. Not to mention she's made several appearances in my dreams since we've started dating. Not really sexually, but there was one marriage dream. & generally, i've never really dreamed of anyone i've known with any such consistency at all. In fact, dreams where there's someone i recognize used to be downright positively rare. Like being able to count the number of times in my life on less than one hand kind of rare.

& i sorta wonder why of all things in my life, knowing her has so drastically altered my subconscious & by extension, my dreams?

Well you always dream whether or not you remember, but my guess would be that the ones with your girlfriend are more memorable. Additionally, in another thread I remember that you mentioned you've been having sleep problems. You might not be going into "deep sleep" and mostly staying in the REM stage, in which there is sleep paralysis and dreaming. REM stages become longer as you cycle through the whole night, so I guess it would make sense that you would tend to remember the dreams since they are closer to when you wake up.

And also my dreams are more coherent, imaginative, & vivid though

Like i'm having a number of dreams that seem better and more interesting than most action/adventure movies i've seen. & i'd wake up and be like, "OMG, why is no one recording this? this is movie-script gold."

but those are just some.
I have a range of different types now too.
& the fact is, i've ALWAYS had trouble with sleeping, but none of this has come up before .
even the ones without the GF i'm remembering pretty clearly.
My REM sleep has just become exponentially more interesting on a regular basis these past few months it seems.

Hm. Yeah that sounds really cool I don't remember my dreams very often. Sometimes they are really fun though
