Back from my internet vacation

I turned off my computer and forced myself to go outside for a week or two. I feel great like I quit smoking.

Anyone else just have to force themselves to put the internet down once and awhile?

I don't ever get as drastic as all that...but I have just recently backed off a whole lot.

It was getting ridiculous...the amount of time I was wasting away at the computer and "hogging" it on my family.

So..yep...I sometimes must force myself away from the internet, and you're right, it does feel good to get other things done.

Welcome back epilefftic. How did you manage to switch off from the computer for one week? I dont think I could do it, I would get the shakes probably.

You have to turn the computer off and decide on an alternative beforehand.

The first few days I brought my gameboy outside with me, found a tree.

I also have 4 dogs, so I walked them daily 1-on-1.

Having a pool also helps, I swam.

That sounds good, I wish i could think of such alternatives.

I can't think of many alternatives to the computer. Computers are kind of like taking care of a baby. You can sleep some but you're most likely going to be attending to it throughout the day.

my internet usage is sporatic. i dont have the internet at my house and my moms house got flooded in the monson here so she had to move and now im using my sisters
