I was in my childhood house, and it was storming outside. I saw a tornado in the distance, and as it got closer I recognized it as someone I knew* and by the time it got into the neighborhood, I knew it was the head of the english department at ASU Main. I waited until it was just outside my house to yell his name. The tornado stopped and a huge face made of cloud came out, and sure enough it was him. I yelled out I was ASU alumna, had one of his wife's classes, and just wanted to say hi. The face receded back in the tornado. I smiled and closed the door, thinking the exchange was over with. Then the damn thing busted through the living room and I yelled at him to go away, that he might kill me. The tornado shifted away and kept going down the road.

*don't ask. I just could tell. It's a dream.

Neko Case had a similar dream, and wrote a song about it.
