Julia Gillard got the top job because Kevin Rudd stepped aside. JG challenged him for the leadership.

She chose the election date of August 21.

Doesn't look like there's much of a choice in Australian politics. If I was in New Zealand I'd vote for ACT. Or maybe I'd vote for the Sex Party, I dunno.

Don't be fooled our "Liberals" as in Liberal Party which used to be your = to a Democrat have now become our Republicans and our "Labour" party which should be a social Democratic party have become our American verison of Democrat, :twisted:

I'd vote for the unholy dark lord, Kromdar the Invincible. He looks like a very nice and capable person, although I don't know about his goals if he wins.

here is julie collins. i think she is so beautiful in my mind but she got into a serious muddle in this interview.
she is a labor member and she seems to know little about her her governments policies.
i think she is 40 but that has nothing to do with anything.
