WHY are NT teen girls so STUPID?

OK, puzzle me this. A 19 year old loser dude, no job no car, lives at home, has a kid already and is still seeing the babymama. He gets two middle class girls to fall for him, and then proceeds to pit them against each other for his "love". He enjoys watching them squirm, apparently, but he doesn't realize that the chicks-18 and 19-are deadly serious. How serious? They meet on a street in Pinellas Park, FL, to duke it out. One girl charges the other, and plunges a kitchen knife directly into the girl's heart, killing her instantly.

At trial, it's revealed that Don Juan thought the girl who died was "friends with benefits", but apparently didn't realize that SHE was head over heels in love with HIM! Also, he's now washed his hands of the whole mess and moved on. The girl who wielded the knife is convicted of second degree murder and is sentenced to 27 years. The other girl is, of course, dead. All this was in last week's Globe tabloid under true crime. How stupid do these girls have to be to throw away their futures and lives over some jerk? They were just teens, now one is dead and the other in jail until age 46. Why do NTs do dumb things in the name of love? Is love really worth your life?

How do you know they were NT?

I dislike every girl with AS I've met in person. It isn't just NT girls who are annoying.

Teenage hormones, perhaps that time of month; stress from school, family & peer pressure. They can turn to booze & illegal drugs or their family & docs may put em on prescription meds instead of dealing with the issues & that makes em stupid. Also the idols they have out there for em tend to be very stupid & the teen dramas & reality TV shows on the MTV teach em that it's good to be stupid. & don't forget that they may not eat much & being hungry all the time could affect their brains negatively.

NOT all NT girls are stupid. I've known some that were much smarter than most girls around my age; women my age tend to have those problems to

People are stupid. Also, people shouldn't use NT as a synonym for "doesn't have Asperger's". Also, you have more serious problems than the culture you follow or how you eat f you stab someone over a guy.

Why are people so stupid, in general?

I teach a whole lot of NT teen girls and they're not stupid. More social, yes, but not stupid - very far from it. The scenario you mentioned sounds like it's more about class and self esteem issues.

The girls in the story don't sound very neurologically typical to me.

You know what's more disturbing than a 19-year-old loser dude and two unstable teenage girls?

A 35-year-old man who still takes pleasure in trashing teenage girls to feel better about himself.

I think the topic sounds like an ufair generalization. Realistically those girls sound screwed up and anything but normal so how do you stereotype a whole category for a couple of extremes. Also it would seem far more likely that men would kill other men over women than vise-versa (Even start wars). I think men of all ages can be pretty stupid too... shall we just say "Why are most people so stupid?" ... or maybe the topic should just not be touched without a better angle.

People (NT or not) don't do stuff like that unless there's underlying issues.

Think of it this way... most teen girls are NT but you don't see even half of them murdering someone over a guy... loser or not.

Seriously Florida is like the eastern California. Surfing, dumb blondes, thriving car scene, etc. If you don't like it stay out, freeze your balls off up north at least your brain won't get microwaved in a sea of stupid people baking in the sun.

Not all "NT" people do stupid things in the name of love. The individual you mentioned seems like she was pretty naive, but it's terribly sad that her life has ended.

'Love' is just a bio-chemical reaction in the brain to outside stimuli. In a way it's a drug that your brain gets addicted to. The girls were whacked out on drugs that their own bodies made.

The girls are not stupid IMO, I've been in their shoes, though things didn't get to murdering point (online stalking point maybe).

The guy sounds like he deliberately sucked them in emotionally big time. He knows how to get them obsessed.
