I am struck by the similarity in liguistic similarities in careers that work for getting free from poverty and surviving AS. Has anyone here explored the linguistic isolation and miscommunication of AS in a similar fashion to that of the "lower" class in Keeping the Rabble in Line (Chomsky)? If so I would enjoy discussing it, alshough I do warn you I am inconsistent about writing things.

I am new to this community.

Welcome to the community. :)
As I am only loosely briefed on Chomsky, I'd mention the miscommunication of those with AS is noted in the field of psychology, for example recognising faux pas

If you're not familiar with faux pas: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Faux_pas

This might be worth posting in the Politics, Philosophy, and Religion forum, some of them have doubtless read more Chomsky than myself.

Linguistics and accents has always been one of my special interests.

Thank you for the responses. Have been away. The religion suggestion is interesting, since a former priest clued me into liguistics many years ago. More later
