What song pretty much sums up your life?
Mine is "A Long Way To The Top" by AC/DC except I neither played in a Rock n' Roll band nor have I made it to the top.

It`s A Long Way To The Top lyrics

Ridin` down the highway
Goin` to a show
Stop in all the by-ways
Playin` rock `n` roll
Gettin` robbed
Gettin` stoned
Gettin` beat up
Broken boned
Gettin` had
Gettin` took
I tell you folks
It`s harder than it looks

It`s a long way to the top
If you wanna rock `n` roll
It`s a long way to the top
If you wanna rock `n` roll
If you think it`s easy doin` one night stands
Try playin` in a rock roll band
It`s a long way to the top
If you wanna rock `n` roll

Hotel, motel
Make you wanna cry
Lady do the hard sell
Know the reason why
Gettin` old
Gettin` grey
Gettin` ripped off
Under-paid
Gettin` sold
Second hand
That`s how it goes
Playin` in a band

It`s a long way to the top
If you wanna rock `n` roll
It`s a long way to the top
If you wanna rock `n` roll
If you wanna be a star of stage and screen
Look out it`s rough and mean
It`s a long way to the top
If you wanna rock `n` roll
It`s a long way to the top
If you wanna rock `n` roll
Well, it`s a long way
It`s a long way, (they tell me)
It`s a long way, such a long way (bagpipe!)

All Star by Smash Mouth. The whole entire song sums me up perfectly.

Somebody once told me the world is gonna roll me
I ain't the sharpest tool in the shed
She was looking kind of dumb with her finger and her thumb
In the shape of an "L" on her forehead
Well the years start coming and they don't stop coming
Fed to the rules and I hit the ground running
Didn't make sense not to live for fun
Your brain gets smart but your head gets dumb
So much to do so much to see
So what's wrong with taking the back streets
You'll never know if you don't go
You'll never shine if you don't glow
Hey now you're an All Star get your game on, go play
Hey now you're a Rock Star get the show on get paid
And all that glitters is gold
Only shooting stars break the mold
It's a cool place and they say it gets colder
You're bundled up now but wait 'til you get older
But the meteor men beg to differ
Judging by the hole in the satellite picture
The ice we skate is getting pretty thin
The waters getting warm so you might as well swim
My world's on fire how about yours
That's the way I like it and I never get bored
Chorus
Chorus
Somebody once asked could you spare some change for gas
I need to get myself away from this place
I said yep what a concept
I could use a little fuel myself
And we could all use a little change
Well the years start coming and they don't stop coming
Fed to the rules and I hit the ground running
Didn't make sense not to live for fun
Your brain gets smart but your head gets dumb
So much to do so much to see
So what's wrong with taking the back streets
You'll never know if you don't go
You'll never shine if you don't glow
Chorus

I salute you, RightGalaxy. Possibly my favoritest AC/DC song. Certainly my favorite to play along to on guitar.

I don't have one song... more like various lyrics from a wide variety of songs.

I'm going to pick the Black Sabbath song Paranoid

Finished with my woman
'Cause she couldn't help me with my mind
People think I'm insane
Because I am frowning all the time

All day long I think of things
But nothing seems to satisfy
Think I'll lose my mind
If I don't find something to pacify

Can you help me
Occupy my brain, oh yeah

I need someone to show me
The things in life that I can't find
I can't see the things that make
True happiness, I must be blind

Make a joke and I will sigh
And you will laugh and I will cry
Happiness I cannot feel
And love to me is so unreal

And so as you hear these words
Telling you now of my state
I tell you to enjoy life
I wish I could but it's too late

Here's a very brief explanation of how it sums up my life~ The only time in my life I ever felt truly happy & real was when I was in a relationship with a girl years ago. Things fell apart because I was unstable & I ended up having a mental breakdown after. I have some serious issues with OCD & I keep obsessing about things. I haven't really felt happy sense. i don't really feel paranoid thou

The song that can describe me most of the time is "Hollow" by Godsmack

Lyrics:

One more step and I could fall away
If it happened would it matter?
And I can't tell if I should go or stay
Same old picture feels so hollow

How can anybody know what's best for me?
Another page I turn in shame
And my decisions brought me to my knees
I needed someone to blame

I feel so hollow
I feel so hollow
Time to do what's best for me
I believe I can change

Once upon a time in broken dreams
Reflections that I can't face
So hold your breath and make a wish for me
Take me to a better place

Time always seems to be passing by
It never waits for me
If I could do it all one more time
I wouldn't change a thing

I feel so hollow
(Feel so hollow)
I feel so hollow
(Feel so hollow)

I feel so hollow
(Feel so hollow)
I feel so hollow
(Feel so hollow)

Time to do what's best for me
I believe I can change

It's kinda a simple song in terms of words but the music behind the lyrics holds a lot of the feeling.

My song is Dvorak's Humoresque. I love all the different emotions it has---happy, humorous, and perhaps even melancholy.

The Raveonettes Hallucinations

Observe my obsession with someone new
Don't feel like someone new
The connection is real with someone new

In this tomb I call love
I get so lonesome with you
Or without you sweetheart
The hellhound's here

Hallucinate my love
Nothing's real in the morn
when I rise I'll leave you to die
You to die, you to die

I would say that pork and beans by weezer and two songs by the moody blues; Our guessing game and the balance, are all pretty good descriptions of me.

As for songs that sum up my life, Pink floyd's the wall.

When I first heard the wall in kindergarden, I thought it was the worst, most horrible thing I had ever heard.

Some years later, My dad and I were drivng back from getting my G.E.D. after I dropped out of high school, and it came on the radio. and I got it. I finally got it.

Beth Hart - Like you (and everyone else)

I've been to hell and it looked just like heaven,
I made a friend and I felt forgiven, like you, and everyone else.

I'm ashamed but, I’m just human,
With oceans of dreams, and seas of confusion.
Like you... and everyone else..

Holding my breath when I just want to scream, hiding the face, I don’t want you to see, making a mess of myself trying to be like you, and everyone else..

They put me away, told me I’m crazy, I don't belong but, maybe they'll save me, Talked to the pain, it's been here forever, the drugs make me sane, but they don't make me better..

Holding my breath when I just want to scream, hiding the face, I don’t want you to see, making a mess of myself trying to be like you, like you..

Losing my faith when I say I believe,
Looking at you for the answers I need, walking away from myself, trying to be like you, and everyone else. Everyone else..

Talked to me, talked to me, talked to me, till this is over.. Talked to me, talked to me, talked to me and I am worth fighting for..

Holding my breath when I just want to scream, hiding the face, I don’t want you to see, making a mess of myself trying to be like you, like you..

Losing my faith when I say I believe,
Looking at you for the answers I need,
Walking away from myself, trying to be
like you, and everyone else.

(Talked to me, talked to me, talked
to me, everyone else, talked to me,
Talked to me, talked to me, like you..
Talked to me, talked to me, talked
To me, everyone else)

Walk in the rain, let it fall on my face.
There’s a shadow of doubt but a sky full of grace,
I’m not like you, and everyone else..
