I just started thinking about this because I remember being four and simultaneously being obsessed with the number four. I vaguely recall my fourth birthday and don't really remember anything earlier than that, I think.

I remember having the biggest crush on a boy in elementary school. Over twenty years later, I still have this crush, and more than likely will have this crush until the day I die.

Was your brother abusive toward you for the duration of your childhood, or was that an isolated incident?

My friend's parents told me that when they brought her home from the hospital after she was born, her brother(who was four at the time) went into her room and tried to cut her arm off with a butter knife. He was a huge bully to us when we were kids.

Laying in my crib when I was between 1 and 2 years old observing a neighbors dog that had gotten in my room somehow. It was a cloudy day and very late afternoon/early evening. I think that's where my fascination with animals began.

Both were bullies off and on for most of my childhood - when our dad wasn't around or when they weren't in jail.

Dad bullied all of us, so naturally it all trickled down to me, the youngest boy.

Being in the hospital during very early childhood. I had to have been about 2 years old, because at the time I was in said hospital, my dad drove a Dodge Diplomat with the muffler missing.

I still remember the color of the room and everything.

I have a few really.

The one I want to get out of the way is thinking someone dropped a chocolate bar in the toilet. Luckily someone was at hand for that schoolboy error.

Another one I remember was curiously sticking my hand in a car's exhaust pipe and wondering why it came out black.

But I think the residing earliest memory of mine was being pumped air through a big plastic asthma appliance with an inhaler at the end, facing into it and having a terrible time.

I remember going to the hospital and looking through the window of the hospital at my younger brother when he was a day or two old. So I was about 1.5 years old at the time.

There are other memories that may be prior to that including some in my play pen.

My first visit when we moved to Asker. I was 1. all was new and unknown, but then I saw my yellow bed, and I pulled at my grandfather's trouser leg in eagerness because I was excited to see something familiar and because I didn't wanna enter the room alone.

I have some memories about teething, but my earliest fully formed memory involves building a snowman. This is from 2-3 y/o.

i remember being in the crib [between one and two years] and somehow clambering over the rail and jumping upon my mother's bed [with her asleep in it at the time] and she awoke with a "WHU??" and put me back in the crib and moved the crib against the wall. this made me mad and i started bumping my head against the wall :wall: until she couldn't take the bumping noise anymore and moved my crib away from the wall. i guess that might be why my brain is warped now. :drunken:
a few months later i "graduated" to my own room [still in a crib] and i remember peeking through a partially ajar door and seeing the glow of my family's black and white tv set, and i peeked through the crack and saw a tv commercial about NAPA auto parts, i remember seeing the trapazoidal symbol of NAPA. this woulda been sometime in 1963. i'm old.

I was either 2 or 3, and my mom had me in one of those carrying baskets. She sat me infront of the tv, and I watched a bugs bunny episode. I was so influenced by it, that it's all I thought of the rest of that day. I remember her then taking me in the basket to a picnic table in the backyard, and still thinking about it. She took my picture that day, so it re-enforced my memory.
