Hiya, I wasn't sure where this should go so I figured the random discusssion might be an idea.
If anyone knows of a more appropiate forum, please point me in the right direction.
Anyway, I'm about to start work on a 'parallell history' type story.
Basicially, it's about CAN getting their way and having 'cured' Albert Einstein and various other greats who are/were supposed to be on the spectrum and what the world would be like today if that had happened.
So:
Where can I find out about CAN without giving them money as I'm a minor?
Where can I find out about the greats that may have been on the spectrum?
Can I get any examples of what life is like for you - so it's not just my take?
Is there anything enough like this out there that that it could be considred infringement?
Once it's finished what do you reccomend I do with it?
If you give examples, can I quote you and do you wish to be given credit? (I'll use your usernames)
Is there any other information you could supply?
Thanks, iammeandnooneelse

Read history books?

To what purpose?

There's a certain place where the sun don't shine?

1) You are in for a lot of work. Much of this work will be reading (I suggest well-stocked public
libraries for a start, with college libraries once you have an idea as to where you are going.) The
internet is a possiblility for your initial searching, but content tends to be especially 'limited'.
2) (which is connected to the first topic) Why are you doing this? Writing can be a singularly
draining task - draining in all aspects - and unless it is something you either enjoy, or are
<addicted to>, it will soon lose its savor. (though Castles made of Words tend to be enchanting ones)
3) I salute your endeavor, and think you should try it. The world needs honest prose that stimulates the mind and ignores the passing fancy of the age, and I hope you 'make something happen'.

Various reasons:
1.I enjoy it
2. Like you say, the world needs honest prose
3.Once I get into it, I really get into it.

Lots of reading won't be a problem, I enjoy reading, regular bookworm.

Besides, anything worth doing is worth working for, right?
Thanks!
