Thanks for your early responses.

I think my obsession with editing (and that includes emails in my case) might be OCD related.

I mean it's not like the standard of my written prose on WP is actually important at any level :lol: :wink: :arrow:

Yes, I often get distracted and form incomplete thoughts, attempt to continue them and use wrong tense or otherwise horrible continuity.

I only do it for spelling errors or if I left out a word or if I thought I wasn't clear in my post. I can also go back and edit out what I said just to avoid a flame fest just because one person took it offensively.
Sometimes I will go back and add something to my post.

Sometimes I will put down "EDIT" and add to my post or say I took something out to avoid a flame fest.

Occasionally I have deleted my whole post and left it blank and when I felt never mind or felt it was irrelevant now.

I tend to agonize over and copy and paste my entries like a madwoman before I submit them, so sometimes the message is lost :lol: in those cases I do edit my posts.
