A few weeks ago I bought a Koosh Ball. I toss it around my room and sometimes it rolls somewhere and I find it later. Well just now I went into the 10 year olds room (to make up her bed she's in school now) and there it IS hanging on her wall!! !! I'm not sure how to handle this or approach her. I don't want to bring it up to mom/dad it'd be yelling about taking older sisters stuff and grounded etc. I was considering taking it back and having a sit down talk me/her NON YELLING! Adult to child hey did you have this on your wall where did you find it why is it on your wall etc? I'm not sure how to handle this please help!! !!

Talk to her about it on your own--leave your parents out of it, PLEASE. 8O

You should be able to talk with her "adult to child," as you put it. Stay calm, and she probably will too.

Did she know it was yours? If not, maybe she just found it somewhere and thought "cool, I like this" and took it. Not that that's necessarily okay either--just be sure to listen to what she has to say, too.

Let us know what happens.

Just take it back. You don't need to have a sit down talk with her. You don't need to say anything unless she says "where did that koosh ball go?" If she does, you say, "I bought it a couple weeks ago and I couldn't find it. Now I found it."

If she doesn't say anything, then don't approach her. You lost your koosh ball. Now you found it.

I grew up with multiple brothers and sisters so this sort of thing happened all the time. There is no need for a talk. You just take it back.

Great. I decided to do that just take the Koosh Ball back. Problem solved and if she mentions something I'll bring it up directly to her. I was shocked though honestly to see MY Koosh Ball hanging on her wall. Hopefully nothing is brought up. :-) Thanks. and BTW NO I will not bring it up to parents I don't want to go through that hell!! !

I think that you've handled it quite well.
