To Each His Own

I cannot change the way I am,
I never really try,
God made me different and unique,
I never ask him why.

If I appear peculiar,
There's nothing I can do,
You must accept me as I am,
As I've accepted you.

God made a casting of each life,
Then threw the old away,
Each child is different from the rest,
Unlike as night from day.

So often we will criticize,
The things that others do,
But, do you know, they do not think,
The same as me and you.

So God in all his wisdom,
Who knows us all by name,
He didn't want us to be bored,
That's why we're not the same

Where did you get that poem, I love it. I think it's important we celebrate who we are, even when others don't. :D Then we can be content with who we are, and surround us with those who really truly care about us.

Someone forwarded it to a group i help manage on Yahoo called ShareYourForwards2. It's for people who like to share they're forwards - mostly jokes, poems, art, toons whatever. It didn't say who wrote it or i would have included it. I just really liked the message.

It's a lovely poem with a nice message. I just wish that more people on this board would remember that the message applies to NTs, too, not just Aspies and auties.

No, that is incorrect. The reason why we are all unique is because a persons DNA is a semi-random combination of his/her fathers and mothers DNA. I strongly recommend education for everyone.
