Mmm...Homemade biscuits and gravy. One of the best things of growing up without a whole lot of anything.

If you are talking English biscuits, I like walnut chocolate chip.

Yeah, what we Americans usually mean by biscuit is a type of Southern U.S. "quick bread" that was originally based on Scottish scones and Irish soda bread. I don't know how we ended up calling them biscuits. The word biscuit comes from biscotti, which in Latin literally means "baked twice," and has been long used to refer to baked goods that were baked to be dry and hard, and thus wouldn't go stale as quickly.

Anyhow, I like most American types of biscuit. Seriously, how can you mess that up? As a for sweet biscuit (cookies) I'm more picky. I like orange Milanos, or anything with a citrus flavor to it.

Ever tried Victorian-era style lavender sugar cookies with rose water icing? Amazing. You can't buy those. You have to make them yourself.

I also make regular sugar cookies with icing flavored with orange water too, since I'm a freak for orange flavored stuff.

Dairy-free bourbons or custard creams. Have to lick the filling out first before eating the biscuit part. Mmm-mmm :)
