anyone else agree? or at least get annoyed at the whole "imaginary partner" idea? or at least at people who take it too far

I get annoyed with the idea, because kids 8 and under are watching those videos. Kids shouldn't have to know about mature issues, until they start reaching puberty, at the age of 10.

Did you mean I shouldn't have posted this? or that kind of thing shouldn't be put in a kids show? I'm confused

Rocko's modern life was kinda Ren and Stimpy-ish... it wasn't meant for younger children really. However I don't think there's anything wrong with posting that here.

Fantasy is always fun :P

...However falling in love with someone who doesn't exist is a bad idea and is quite annoying to hear about yes

I used to think I could only fall in love with anime characters. I could never imagine myself caring about real people. Then at the beginning of this year, I became a movie buff. Now I feel like I can more openly talk about which characters I find attractive because they're portrayed by real people, so it's more socially acceptable.

It's "waifu" not "wifu".

I like saying "husubando" myself. I got it added to Urban Dictionary 8)

Yup, some cartoon writers can be quite clever in the way they have humour that adults would enjoy, whilst still being appropriate, and enjoyable for children.

And fantasy is indeed fun :D, as long as you can recognise where just becomes plain old silly. Fair enough, I can think of at least 3 fictional characters I wish were real.

Probably more acceptable because then the fictional character can be pinned to an actor, and who doesn't respect celebrities/actors? :D

I sort of contradict myself a bit here, but it's not horrible to have a crush on an imaginary person. Who doesn't fantasise about having a perfect partner? (in a clean way of course, I'm sure you all agree). The guys at 4chan take it a bit far though...even if most of them are just joking.
